Trash Collection and Recycling Services are billed monthly to Glen Carbon citizens on their Water Utility Bill. These bills are sent out by the Village Clerk's Office. The services are provided by Allied Waste Service, and are coordinated through the Public Works Department.
Allied Waste recognizes six holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Should your pick-up day falls on or after the holiday, your trash, recycle, and yard waste will be collected one day late. For example: Your service is on Monday and Monday is the holiday. Your trash and recycling pick-up would then be on Tuesday. The Tuesday pick-ups would then be on Wednesday and so on. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday there will be no change in the collection schedule.
