Voting Information
Registration
Requirements.
Glen Carbon citizens 18 years of age and older may register to vote
in a local elections held in the Fall and Spring. Village elections
are held every two years in the Spring.

Registration may be accomplished at any one of the following locations
to be eligible to vote:
- Glen Carbon Centennial Library, 198 South Main Street, Glen
Carbon
- Madison County Clerk's Office, 155 N. Main Street, Edwardsville
- Illinois Driver Services Facility, 1502A Troy Road, Edwardsville
Voting Times.
Polls openings and closings will be announced by the Madison County
Clerk's Office.

Party Affiliation.
Citizens do not have to declare party affiliation to vote in a Village
election or general election. Citizens are required to declare party
affiliation during primaries.
Where Do You Vote?
Your residence determines your voting precinct. If you are unsure
of your polling place contact the Madison County Clerk at
618-692-6290 or 618-692-7040 Ext. 4682. The following precincts
and their associated polling places are used by Village citizens.

Absentee voting may be accomplished at the Village Hall, 151 N.
Main Street for any resident who knows they will be unavailable
to vote at their assigned Polling Precinct prior to election day.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - Petitions for candidates for the April
7, 2009 Consolidated Election are available in the Clerk's Office
at 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is closed for lunch from 12:30
p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Petitions may be circulated beginning Tuesday, October
28, 2008.
