JULIE is a non-for-profit corporation that provides contractors/excavators, homeowners, and others who may be disturbing earth, with a single toll-free number to call for the locating and marking of these underground utilities.
JULIE is not a utility. JULIE owns no utilities and does not locate underground utilities. JULIE is a message handling service that receives location requests from persons excavating. JULIE then sends these requests to JULIE member companies who have utilities in the area of excavation. Each utility is responsible to mark its own utilities. Visit our website
Residents are asked to place the brush at curbside with cut end towards the street and neatly stacked. Limbs should not be stacked over three feet high. No lumber, landscape timbers, railroad ties or stumps will be picked up. The maximum size accepted is 8 inches diameter. With larger limbs cut into 6 foot lengths. Smaller branches can be longer.
Village crews do not pick up yard-waste such as lawn clippings or leaves. All limbs and branches are recycled into wood chips by means of a brush chipper. The wood chips are stock piled and available to residents by calling the number listed above.
