As we move into the Fall and Winter months, the Public Works Department would like to remind residents NOT to blow or rake leaves/grass into the street.
Blowing or raking leaves/grass into the street obstructs gutters and causes storm sewer systems to backup or drain improperly.
Additionally, blowing or raking leaves/grass into the street damages the Village street sweeper which is not designed to sweep/vacuum leaves or grass. Please be a good neighbor and dispose of your leaves and yard waste properly.
· The Village will have a yard waste drop off on Saturday, November 7 and
Saturday, December 5 from 8:00 am—3:00 pm at the Public Works Garage.
Acceptable items include grass clippings, leaves, sticks and twigs.
